About the Camp
Not at all! World of Music Camp is designed for beginners and curious learners. No experience with instruments, reading music, or singing is required. The only thing your child needs is a willingness to explore and have fun. Diana meets every child exactly where they are.
Children will explore a variety of instruments from around the world, including hand drums, maracas, xylophones, rainsticks, and small percussion instruments from different cultures. All instruments are provided — please do not bring instruments from home.
Groups are kept intentionally small to ensure every child gets personal attention and feels included. We typically have 8–12 children per session.
Many children feel a little nervous at first — that's completely normal! Diana has years of experience creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe to participate at their own pace. By the end of the first day, most children are fully engaged and excited to come back.
Logistics
Please pack:
- A healthy snack and a water bottle (snack time is included in the session)
- Comfortable clothes that can move around in
- Closed-toe shoes
- Any medication your child needs (please notify Diana in advance)
- A positive attitude — that's the most important thing!
Drop-off begins 10 minutes before the session start time. Please do not drop children off earlier, as supervision is not available. Pick-up is at the end of the session (12:00 PM for the morning group, 3:30 PM for the afternoon group). For late pick-ups, please contact Diana directly. For safety, only authorized adults listed on the registration form may pick up your child.
Snack time is built into each session. Please send a healthy, nut-free snack and a water bottle with your child. We are a nut-free environment due to allergies. Snacks will not be provided by the camp.
The camp is held at the Nightingale School of Music. The exact address will be confirmed in your registration confirmation email. Parking is available nearby.
